Community Sustainable Fair
Saturday 3rd December
2pm - 6pm
Groat Street Festival launched in 2014 with local community members building an event that promoted sustainable community living. With over 3000 people attending the event was an overwhelming success. We built on the initial success with fantastic events in 2015, 2017 and 2019. In 2021 we decided to run a smaller festival The Mulberry Festival at Munro Reserve Doubleview due to the persistance of Covid issues. In 2022 we have continued along these lines and are creating a Community Sustainable Fair.
Community members will be running workshops, information talks, displays, craft stalls, demonstrations and performances. The event thrives on skill sharing, volunteer commitment and good old fashioned entertainment.
Who is behind the event
This unique event was initiated by Faerie Cara from Eco Faeries. The event was a success through the hard work from community members at Eco Faeries and Transition Towns Stirling in partnership with the City of Stirling.
